Live SEVEN

Founder Since 2025

An app for scoring seven parts of your life, every Sunday.

Live SEVEN is a website and app for anyone who wants an honest look at their own life, in seven parts: health, head, people, time, money, impact and the next yes. Once a week you score each one from 1 to 7, circle the lowest, name one action, and keep the goals and habits under them across the year.

It exists because a business, a title or a number in an account is a vehicle, not the life, and it is easy to build one without asking where you meant to go.

HorsePower Brands

Since January 2021

A multi-brand home service franchise platform.

A group of home service brands under one roof. It is where most of the operating experience behind everything else on this page was earned: scaling several brands at once, and learning most of it the expensive way.

In 2026, EY named me a finalist for its Entrepreneur Of The Year Heartland Award.

The conversations from that stretch are collected in The HorsePower Journey.

Tiger Adjusters

Advisor, franchise side Since July 2024

Public adjusters who work for the homeowner, not the insurer.

When an insurance company underpays or denies a property claim, a public adjuster reads the policy, prices the loss and argues the claim for the owner. Tiger Adjusters does that work across a growing national network, starting from Philadelphia.

Past

Beverage Distributor

Lincoln, Nebraska. Five locations across the Midwest. CFO · General Manager · VP of Sales and Marketing 2008 to 2021

From the numbers, to building the team, to setting the plan.

I spent six years as CFO of a beverage distributor in Lincoln, Nebraska. That job is hindsight. You see every decision after it is made, and you get very good at knowing which ones were wrong.

When I came back, it was as General Manager of a location. That job is not about the numbers. It is about building a team and communicating a message.

A year later I became VP of Sales and Marketing for all five locations. The lesson from the GM seat came with me, only bigger. One team became five, and the message had to be clear enough to travel to rooms I was not in. The job was deciding where the company should go, and saying it so that every location could carry it.

Each seat taught me something the last one could not. The CFO knew what the numbers meant. The GM learned that the numbers come from a team, and a team runs on a clear message. The VP had to hold both while pointing everyone in one direction. That is most of what I bring to an operator now.

10 Thousand Percent

Complete Nutrition CFO, with equity 2014 to 2017

A multi-state Complete Nutrition operator, named for a standard.

We named the company 10 Thousand Percent. Give 100%, 100% of the time.

I came in as CFO and earned equity in the company. We grew to more than 60 Complete Nutrition stores in 17 states, with more than 200 people.

It taught me resilience. And it taught me that a lot of the time it is better to act than to keep building the plan. You will never have all the answers.
